If you are facing an unexpected pregnancy, you might feel overwhelmed trying to decide what to do. After confirming the pregnancy with a pregnancy test and an ultrasound, there are three options available to you: abortion, adoption, and parenting.

Abortion

Depending on how far along you are, you will either need a medication abortion or surgical abortion. If you are less than 10 weeks into your pregnancy, you are eligible for a medication abortion, which is a series of two pills, one taken at the medical clinic and the other taken at home. If you are 10 weeks or more into your pregnancy, you will need to have a surgical abortion. We provide free ultrasounds to determine how far along you are and also offer options counseling so you can make a fully-informed decision.

Adoption

Adoption is the route women usually take who don’t feel ready to parent but also don’t want an abortion. You can choose an open or closed adoption, depending on whether or not you want to have any kind of relationship with your child and adoptive family. We can go over information on adoption during your free appointment so you can more fully understand this option.

Parenting

Many people choose to parent even if the pregnancy was unplanned. If this is an option you’re considering, we can help you make a plan and we also offer resources to help you begin this journey if that would be helpful for you. You can schedule your appointment for free today!

At Birthright, we understand that this is a difficult decision, and you have the right to be informed. We can provide you with all the information you’ll need for each of these options in order to make the best decision possible for you.
